the indust rial standards act to which such application relates therefore the council of the corporation of the town of ac ton enacts as follows 1 bylnw no 943 is hereby re pealed 2 save as hereinafter in this bvaw otherwise provided all retail gnsoline service stations gayoiine pumps and outlets with in the whole of the town of acton in the retail gasoline service in dustry as defined in the indust rial standards act shall be closed nnd remain closed between the hous of seven of the clocrt in the afternoon of each monday tues day wednesday thursdiv and friday and seven of the clock in the forenoon of the nolct follow ing day during the whole of the year 3 save as hereinafter in this bylaw otherwise provided all retail gasoline service stations gsoline pumps nnd outlets with in the whole of the town of acton in the retail gasoline service in dustry as defined in the industrial snndards act shall be closed and remain closed between the hours of ten of the clock in the after noon of each saturday nnd sivcn of the clock in the forenoon of the next following monday 4 notwithstanding the provisions of sections 1 and 2 hereof the town clerk may after approval ihureof by the council lsijj per mits authorising the retail gasoline service station gasoline pump or outlet as so defined for which it is issued to be nnd remain open not withstanding the bylaw during the part or parts of the day or days specified in the permi 4 a permits issued pursuant to the provision of section 3 here of shall not exceed in number for any particular calendar week one of the aggregate number of retail gasoline service stations gasuline pumps or outlets as so defined ac cording to license records of the town clerk such permits shall bj issued for one week in regular rot ation ibt every such permit shall be for remaining open between the hours of seven of the clock in he aiumium of each monday to fri day inclilmve and seven of the clock in the forenoon of the i following day and between the hdrs ol ten of the cloct in the aflernoon of saturday and even of the clock in the forenoon of the next fallowing monday save as otherwise provided in the factory shop and office building act the occupier shall be responsible for any breach of the provisions of this bylaw b any person convicte i of a breach of the provisions f this bylaw shall forfeit and pay at he discretion of the conviction magis trate a penalty no exceeding ex clusive of posts the sum of fifty dollars for each offence anil in default of payment of the said penalty nnd exists forthwith the said penalty and costs or costs on ly may be teviedby distress and sale of the goods and chattels of th offender and in case of ther- be ing no distress found out of which such penalty can be levied the convicting magistrate may commit the offender to the common gaol of the county of- hnlton with or without hard labour for any per iod ipt exceeding twentyon days unless the said penalty and costs if any including the coss of the said distress and of the committal nnd conveyance of the offender to the said gaol are sooner piid this bylaw shall take effect on and from the first day of dec ember a d
