taxes levied on so many other sources when we say this we are not unmindful of the fact that the municipalities do receive some assistance but lets take the revenue from the sale of intoxicating beverages collected solely by provincial and dominion governments in no year has the municipality received nearly 1000 of this revenue in the meantime cost of police piotection has gone up and without a doubt much of the added policing required should be charge able to the sale of liquor only a small percent age of the fines collected come to the municipal coffers municipalities such as ours which are grow ing and expanding must provide increased tar- vices such as schools sewers water etc home owners are carrying all the burden for municipal funds they are entitled to a larger share from the
