aid minutes and treasurers report were read and several letters of thanks were received from the elderly and shutins who were i at christmas roll call was answered with sug gestions for the years activit ies and the ladies have a busy time ahead of them their pro ject is new front doors on the church a contest was won by mrs gisbertson mrs wright closed with a poem a thought forthe new year mrs j gubertson thanked the hostess for her hospitality a social half hour followed shirley gubertson is improving at guelph general hospital mr george hatapson is still confined to hospital mr and to other de tachments const tom dubc a member- ol this detachment since june 18 1957 is promoted to corp oral and will transfer to the burlington detachment office const bill bennett who has spent nearly nine years on the milton opp force is to be come a corporal and transfer to the brantford detachment both promotions are effec tive today february 1 both men this week went to tor onto for a supervisory course which will last two weeks then they will head out for their new positions const bennett joined the opp in 1956 starting with the dundas detachment before moving to milton he had a january 30 with theoeebration of a choral eucharist commemorating the conversion of supaul and in prayer for the life of the par- following the service re freshments were served in the parish hall and
