ruth joanne colts daughter of mr and mrs clarence coles of rr t acton became the bride of james and erson of uxbridge son of mr and mrs john anderson of glas gow scotland bouquets of white chrysanthe mums with tinted foliage decor ated the platform of the church the bridal party entered the chrnch to the strains of praise my soul the king of heaven the bride given in marriage by her father was lovely in a formal ensemble of whltrwgan- ta and lace her sleevelessem- pire gown was styled with an a- line skirt and the coat had a lace bodice and organza skirt edged with a border of lace which after lunch the zone president mr thos bradley of milton welcomed tlie assembled clubs mrs bradley zone secretary called the roll mr davidson answered tor acton club which had 27 persons there joe gibbons mayor of george town officially welcomed the rally to georgetown the zone executive were then introduced the program opened with o canada mr alien the n introduced the guest speaker rev harold lle- wellln who spoke very fittingly a reading by a member of burl ington club followed airs cce president of qakviue club led the oakville jubilee singers in several selections shortening bread golden slippers moon light bay and aulcj lang syne mrs kee of georgetown gave two readings the beauty con test and the masters touch mrs may president of street- svtlle club introduced mr and mrs houston two of their new members recently moved from scotland who sang a couple of humorous duets with action a talented couple from bronte no longer young played several lovely duets on the piano and were well applauded for their musical ability which was quite wonderful especially consider ing their years mr fellows introduced mrs richardson secretary also pianist for alder- shot club and a slagsong follow ed led by mr sones of the re creation committee the milton rhythm band ac companied by piano violin and banjo performed several num bers road to the isle mocking bird hiu then their quartette sang how great thou art with all joining in the chorus mr davidson president of acton golden age club introduc ed their number the rhythm band with mrs bradshaw at the piano and led by mrs cossar they performed each number on their various instruments then sang it with the audience joining lustily in the chorus old blue bonnet mocking bird hiu and the bells of st marys the ladies were dressed in their centennial costumes the men with white shirts and black bow ties mr davidson wore his swallow tall coat also judging by the tremendous ap plause this was the highlight of the program even though several of the usual performers were iu and two recently called home to their reward mr wm feuows vicepres ident was courtesy convenor and thanked all who took part rev llewellin returned to the stage and reported that he had just visited robert mcenery in the georgetown hospital and found him improving then he closed the rally with a comforting prayer followed by all singing the ckieen those who wished were led on a tour through the beautiful new church before leaving tor home miss uz bennett of waterloo visited friends in town on sunday boy rognvaldson has returned from
