charter in a historymaking meeting thursday evening september 4 the continuing congregation of the 1 30ycorold church on the hill formally accepted a new charter giving official recognition and renaming it churchill community church with smith griffin jr in the chair and solicitor charles leatherland giving specialized advice the meeting was guided through a maze of necessary legal force would do the construction from the fourth house westward an open ditch is to be created to take water from the high spots further work on the north side of cobble hill road would be halted until the job was completed the reeve complained that it was written in the deed that the subdivide must put a ditch along the property line sufficient to carry all the water along the road if we do any work there which we have no right to do were wrong we still wont be able to cope with the water theres a real lake there said the reeve and it could all be drained into the swamp wouldnt you say the
