hand of death removed one of our best known and most highly teemed citizens last wednesday wheii kathleen bradley beloved wile pt elmer c thompson passed away at her home here after an illness of about two weeks deceased was born in georgetown a daughter of the late mr and mrs james bradley and spent her entire life in the communi ty she was a valued member of georgetown public school staff for some years and substitute teacher at the time of her death she was i member of st oeorges church i life member of the w a and ai earnest active worker in various or ganixauons of the church also in connection with the orenfell mission and local council of women de ceased was b woman beloved by all who knew her rer bright cheerful disposition and undly acts won for her a place in the hearts of her many friends who deeply i regret her untimely death rer passing is distinct loss to the community she was married to mr thompson lq years ago and is survived by her hus band and one daughter isabel who will sadly miss the kindly adminis tration of a beloved wife and mother three brothers and five sisters also survive dr thomas bradley samla arthur b bradley port onion wil liam bradley on the 29th november an adventurous career was brought to a close at the comparatively early age of sixtyfour born in rtolmnrth yorkshire eng land fred came to canada with his parents in september 1870 with a strong ifaig to the sea it was his early ambition to be a midshipman in the navy but failing this left home in his eighteenth year to accept a position with the richelieu navigation co and williams on saturday evening november 26thi miss elsye mcmaster daughter of mr and mrs robert f iscmaster passed peacefully away bringing to a close an illness of al most three years duration the late miss mcmaster was born at glen williams on may 23rd 1001 and at tended public school there she re sided m toronto for several months about eight years ago then entered training as a nurse at the ontario hospital in iondnn ontario and graduated on may 28th 1038 she was proceeding with postgraduate work at st josephs h lion don when she was taken 111 and un til recently she has since been resi dent at queen alexander sanitarium byron ontario during her earlier years when miss mcmaster resided at name she took a very active part jn the work of georgetown baptist church and sunday schobl and was a member of the church choir she was always popular because of her cheery personality a trait of her character which she displayed through out her long illness even to her last days in a to her a euchre at the home of mrs gowdy some evening during this week mr arthur hill returned home from owen sound the last part of last week if business picks up we may lose him again however little jackie school commencement it was an enjoyable entertainment that the high school put on for s capacity audience on thursday even ing the choruses were bright and were well rendered the dixie dance was daintily done the dutch dance- had a free arid happy air the boys showed some new athletic stunts both plays were well acted and reflected credit on the training mr barraclough before the pres entation of prises ami ouplomas made some eomnlimentary remarks on the success the school as also did mr dayfoot amlss joy pawoett of to ronto sang five very charming songs the evening came to a close henry graham a brother of the dee- eased for the nip to pittapiece mr graham was for many yean county auditor of rolette county the first mayor of rolla under the city form of government repres for rolette county in the state legislature publisher of a rolla newspaper and a banker and bnslnrsi man of this city arthur oswald graham was born near toronto ont canada november 15 1888 a son of ephriam and jena- ette duff graham the farmer a native of canada and the latter of scotland his father died in 1002 and his mother in 1003 mr graham spent the early part of of his life at the parental home in canada us 1881 be moved to bran don man where he engaged to farm ing until the spring of 1888 when he oroaewd the border and foed on a homestead in island lake township in 1800 upon election to the office of county auditor he moved to rolla and has lived here until two years ago when he moved to bis farm northeast of st john he served as county auditor until 1000 when he purchased the president of the rolette county bank of st john mr graham held important publlo offices to the city of roba both as a member of the council and as the first mayor under the city form of government be and to toa matilda ben- drieksoa who survives there were no children by either marriage but mr and mm oraham raised two of the children of the late robert oraham brother of the deceased these petces
