beloved hus band of mary lougheed passed away at st josephs hospital guelph on friday may 20th in his 62nd year deceased was a son of the late mr anlmn alexander wawie and was born on the farm lot 24 con l es queslng township he farmed for some years at acton and worked as a carpenter for many years in george town he was married on august 5th 1914 to mary lougheed of county tyrone ireland he is survived by his widow and one daughter basel two sisters mrs h savers and mrs wm robertson acton four bro thers alexandervfand william in nes- bltt manitoba and duncan and don ald or aeton the funeral the death at brandon general hospital on tuesday april 26th ol ida florence wife of john t shanks pettapiece community lost a highly esteemed citizen and one who great ly endeared herself to those with whom she came in contact during her thirty two years residence in the dis trlct mrs shanks was born at ashgrove halton county ontario december 3 1673 on june 20 1906 at ashgrme she became the bride of john t shanks of pettapiece tnd the fol lowing month took up residence at her western home mrs shanks possessed a pleasing personality of great help to others she devoted much time and talent to church work and was actively in terested in all its departments it was in december that she took ill with what proved to be cancer left to mourn her loss besides her husband is one daughter marian ruth at home also three brothers fred and norman wrlgglesworth at ashgrove and gordon at ogden utah the funeral was held from petta piece church on friday afternoon following a brief service at the
