various crops for bettor or worse this year to begin with there was little or no frost in the ground last wlntermarch proved to be the warmest on record and the first half of april there were no rains to hold up work on the land and a lot of spring seeding was done much earlier than usual which now looks very promising for a bountiful crop then the latter part of april and for the greater part of may we have had incessant ram that has held us work on the land so that seeding nov done earlier will be very late and quite likely lighter yielding another effect of the lack of sun shine o for the greater part of this month has been the sickly growth of plants in greenhouses yesterday we struck out to find a few tomato plants that looked at to plant and instead we found a good grower so discour aged after all his hard work this spring he said he felt like pltehin his whole house full of plants on the scrap heap unfortunately au tbe help we could give him was to advise him to pray for more
