their financial and general achieve ments for the year 1048 these ln- dlcnted that in splto of tho uncer tainty of things duo to change of ministers and renbvation the church had a good year three new organizations have been started and it is hoped that they will con tinue through 1040 young peo ples union wolf cubs boy scouts there were 23 new members roi fcoived by certificate and 8 by profession of faith a total of 12 names were removed from the roll 0 by certificate and 6 by death in fant baptisms numbered 10 and j24615 00 was received and ex pended by the various organiza tions during the year the feeling of the meeting can be expressed in the term it was a good year and several members of tho congroga- ton proposed resolutions of apprec iation to tho various organizations and their leaders mr william deans was reappoin ted to the board of session as a life member messrs e forgrave hector bird and wm deans were reappointed to the board of stew ards for three year terms and mr claude kcntncr was elected for a similar period mrs c buck and mrs ii h jones were reappointed to prepare the elements for the sac- romont of the lords supper and messrs v t cavanagh and p b harrison were reappointed church auditors mr a maclnren chairman of tho building committee reported brief ly on the accompllsments of tho year and outlined tho plan of ac- tlon for 1040 for the congregations consideration the meeting accep ted the recommendation of the building committee that in view of the present and urgent need for enlarged and improved facilities we continue with the building plans the committment for 1040 is the building of i new sundaj school hall and the division of the present hall into suitable rooms the meeting was dismissed and the benediction pronounced lunch was served
