cross church sunday school presented their christmas concert last sun day afternoon december 18th mrs john cummins who prepared the concert was chairman and as the program was scheduled to take place during the hydro cutoff sun day the stage was lighted with candles and gas lamps and the chil dren dressed in their costumes by candlelight the smaller children took part in a ploy entitled santa visits mother goose land there were piano solos by marie armstrong and theresa beeney and also reci tations by those children not tak ing port in a play a ploy gifts of the children concluded the concert after which santa came to the christmas tree and presented each child with a rift bag of can dy orange linl apple sandwiches cookies cake and chocolate milk for the children and lea for the adults were served at the conclusion of the concert mrs vvni carney played the piano for carolsinging mrs cummins was insisted in preparing for the con cert by mrs itichard hawcs and mrs william
