assesst jumps 443000 georgetown has had a population increase of almost 200 in the past year and increased buildings plus an upward revision in assessment rate on industrial properties has icreased the assessment by 443 000 reporting to council this week assessment commissioner joseph gibbons explained that this means that ff the town has the same mill rate next year there will be an ex tra 20 000 available in current taxes the population figure of 3589 in 1952 has increased to 3779 this year assessment shows an increase from 3 764 000 to 4 208 000 accor ding to the tax roll returned by the assessor mr gibbons said that his figures show that the town still maintains a good balance between residential industrial and commer cial properties using the yardstick set up by experts the large
