at this meeting for which no date has as yet been set reeve sargent reported that at the meeting he had relaed geor getown s position about being for ced into the district because of a peculiar government grant system at that time which would have been to the towns detriment not to join last year with legisla tion changed this condition no longer exists he said and the town is anxious now to leave the district it would be hoped that an arrangement would be worked out with esquesing township for education of rural pupils he said ii had been suggested at the county council meeting the reeve said that georgetown have some tentative proposal as to how costs would be assessed for township pupils acton countjt rcprfesenta tives had also stated thar george town should show proof that north halton could operate more effic iently with three boards in place of the present one mayor armstrong said that costs or education of township pupils would be assessed on a per pupil attendance basis
