danger that admissions wtll have to be limiled it is a possibility which concern the board meanwhile it is hoped that large number of people will attend the ea per ticularly those who have not already been on the premises either as patient or visitor georgetown is justly proud of rkii fine m stitution long needed for a town of this size and the board it anxious to show what hat been provided for the welfare of ailing residents crossatlantic neighbours three d strict ladies are returning this week from t trip to holland where they visited graves of loved onet lost in the war and were house guetrs of dutch families during their stay some time ago the netherlands war graves commilee was formed with the goal of repaying the debt they felt was owing to men who lost their lives in the defence of freedom and are buried in dutch toil money was raited by public subscription and dose relatives contacted offering them the trip thit weeks con tingent of 79 is the second group to make nostalgic weekend a week end in windsor brought back memories of happy schooldays when we attended the fiftieth anniversary of our old public tchool no we weren t one of the original graduating class though its remarkable how fast those years do go by lett leave ft that we saw boys and girls jnt hadn t seen tince grade 8 and despite those so cial graces of you havent changed a bit our mirror tells us another story at if lo po nl this up as we introduced our wile to a former teacher she said and th s w ii be your daughter waller most noticeable of course were the ladies some who were stout were thinner and vice versa a g rl who had been the class sweetheart had changed to an aver age middle ager another who had grown too fast and was an unga nly 12 year old complete with what in hose days was an oddity horned rim glasses is now a charm ing matron much more handsome than some of the 8th grade glamour girls hair styles of course are the most ttartl ng among lad e a teacher premat urely gray when she taughl ui is now a redhead the teachers we thought were old ladies at the time all of 25 some of them probably are not the ancient fossils we might have imagined though moil are now retired they are happy contented ladies with the knowledge of a ob well done and memor es in plenty of their class room days not that the men havent changed the visit a special service of remembrance which her maesty the queen of the neth erlands attended was one of the highlights of the trip the hospitality of people in this euro pean country is an example of good neigh bourlinest which substantiates the feeling that human nature is essentially good the overseai lr p while recalling sadness for the canadians will be tempered with a measure of happiness too in knowing that others care and that men who died m rhe war are being remembered by others loo too mind you receding haul net spnnk lings of gray for those who kept their locks increase in the midriff made tome of our fnendt a bit hard to spot there wat tadnest loo in learning that many teachers and clastmaiet had died m the intervening years there was a sur prise in finding that a dumb dora had end ed up with a good ob and the reverse was true for a few of tha brighter students one teacher summed ii up best per hapt when he ruefully admitted that he had once advised a man holding one of the top positions with an auto firm to leave school and find a ob because he was ne ver gong to amount lo anything anyway though we have not yet reached that slage we found a maonty of our old friends are now fathers and mothers in law and many of them grandparents thank goodness there wire no great grandpar ents or if so they were keeping it quiet we were impressed with the educa tion which was offered us as a youngster for windsor in those days set the pace for all ontario the old school was one of the first to have a ro ry syslem with pupils moving to specialized teachers a science lab a gymnalonum and french classes in the senior gradei were things we enioyed ai a small fry it was a week end we will cherish in that special compartment which we keep for nostalgia and it belied the adage thai one should never go back for we en oyed it lo the full hospitaltoay has mal local mianino whan you attend the hosni pqp jiip iuppv bible thought lut tt shall be mere tehmhi hr tyre ana iwen at the mfmont then fer yew
