the institute ma gazine her writing includes through the roadside wind ow she spoke of many facets of institute work mentioning pro jects accomplished and suggest ing further opportunities for service a suggested study is fa mily life as there are many problems in these confused and changing times she suggested panel discussions on children at school saying that the com munity centre is not gone be cause the little red schoolhouse is closed but rather the centre oiinterestjseitended onjnon- ey management discussing inst alment buying forceful sales talk and assessing advertising values and on standards of home life she said a satisfact ory home life is morally whole some mentally stimulating so cially responsible spiritually in spiring and founded on mutual affection and respect- v when fath er and son banquet last thurs day and it turned out to be ah even bigger event than plan ned instead of the eighty pre pared for there was an attend ance of 105 there was confusion for a while but theladies in charge did a tremendous job and utili zing the available manpower soon had the tables set up for the extra guests the turkey dinner with all the trimmings soon disappeared and everyone had their fill no small feat when it comes to boys purpose of the banquet was to have fathers meet the lead ers and to award merit badges to boys who had attained them badge winners were danny brown bob cook david dew- ar glen fotheringham gerry dewar floyd nix wesley pal mer and elliott klingbiel rev don fitchett of st tho mas was the gucst speaker he has the gift of making people
