the elimination of saturday afternoon public skating and asking the public school board to find time in school hours for trena skating brought 1m mediate objections from the members i certainly object they felt the people should be given right to vote on it since they turned it down once before in presenting his motion cr smith contended that council lors and committees should be given a chance to start and complete projects without the change sometimes resulting from elections he contended the cost of yearly elections were unnecessary and hoped the two year term would t ing out more voters to the polls there are only two municip alities in the whole area left with yearly elections and we are one he added in con clusion he pointed out that a two year term gives much more scope for planning
