ov erall prize of being grand cham pions of a week of competition in which 46 teams took part georgetown who were in the c division began their climb to the top of the ladder by defea ting markharh 102 in the two game series next scrievwas be- tween georgetown and hesnel- er the locals won out by a 126 score the third series between georgetown and milton was an easy 143 win and this put the from ma ny towns and cities in canada and the usa 1 would like to express my thanks and apprec iation to some of the people working behind the scenes who are responsible for these young lads and their jans taking home with them the firm notion that georgetown is one of the friendliest and hospitable towns in canada or beyond receiving no trophies but worthy of most honorable men tion arc the following the royal canadian legion and st johns united church for applying the space and fac ilities for serving the meals the ladies from the following auxiliaries and organizations the glen ladles the firemens auxiliary the rcbekah lodge the royal canadian legion la dies auxiliary knox presby terian church women the ki netics st andrews united church women and st johns united church women for their cheerful and willing work from early morning until late at night preparing cooking and cleaning up the teenage girls from var ious schools in town for giving up their time and holidays to serve the food and clean up the tables without them the job would have been most difficult iast but not least the scotch j bakery bucks grocery and he georgetown dairy for their pat icnce and help in supplying and preparing the mountain of i fowl that was consumed 1 all of them cooperated so well that my joh was almost easy and was certainly a pleas ure in closing may i wish jean i and red many
