mature the purpose ful development of our resources the improvement of the quality of the life of our people and the creation of an atmosphere congenial to economic develop ment ontario scout jamboree planned for kelso park a year and a half of planning wil climax in august 1968 when whole new community of over 3000 boy scohts and their leaders is set p at the kelso conservation area the weeklong event will be the first ontario boy scout jamboree and the community will be complete with hospital transportation food fire police and water services ontario has been the scene of canadian and world jamborees before but officials are billing this event as the first ontario jamboree a planning committee headed by d deacon chose the kelso site after visiting a num ber of alternative locations the jamboree is scheduled for august 17 to 24 1968 and among the 3000 boys who will atend 80 per cent will be from ontario 10 per cent from other countries and 10 per cent from other parts of canada
