voca tional institute graduate peter gothe who commuted from his new r r 1 georgetown homo for the last five weeks of the school year has been awarded a senior shield for accumulating an aggregate of 1000 points during his five years at the school fewer than one percent of the student body qualified for the shields which were present ed at an assembly june 12 peter age 18 was also one of the schools ontario scholars and received a proficiency in languages award as well ho will study languages at tho university of western ontarios school of translators and in terpreters peter was on the schools hon- tfur role for four years which accounted for 40q pf his point total points arc awarded for outstanding achievement in ac ademic and extra curricular act ivities the other main area in which he earned points was in music he was concert master of the school orchestra this past term and appeared in the schools spring show as a violin soloist both this and last year he achieved the
