    A basement was put under the church in about 1925. When Hillcrest United Church was formed it was sold and moved to Limehouse where it is now a private residence.

    William George Wilson (1860-1939)'s son was Melford Guy (1895-1989), and his brother, Henry Wilson (1863-1947), had a son, John Guy (born 1897-1986). John Guy served in WW1. William George and Henry

    Ashgrove Public School (SS#3) built 1870 and closed in 1959. It is now a garage.

    The very large class of Miss Minerva Howson (1857-1955) gathers outside the Ashgrove school house, built in 1870. She taught at Ashgrove from 1878 until 1880, when she married Samuel Ruddell.
