Some important ideas on making your home safe for the young ones Ensuring the safety and well-being of small children can be a challenging task. As they grow older they become more inquisitive and want to get their hands on everything. In a home with many potential dangers, this could be disastrous. Here are some tips to make your home safer forthe little ones. Store all medications, cleaning products, matches, fuels, or other harmful chemicals out of sight. If they cannot be seen, then they will be less of a target for the young curious mind. Children often think that pills or chemicals are candy and soft drinks that they can enjoy. Child locks on cupboards can be bought at the local retailer. The locks will allow adults access, while preventing children entry. Install protective covers over electrical outlets so that children cannot stick their fingers or other objects into the opening and Health & Safety With Brian Ellsworth electricute themselves. As well, night lights set up in dark areas will allow a good sight line for those who need to make a visit to the washroom. Install bumper pads on all sharp corners or protruding ends. Any cushion or foam pad will do the trick. Supervision and proper education are the best tools to use when looking after a child. Inspect your house.
