Midget Sabres take crown in overtime 'Paul Murr Memorial) golf tourney June 8 This year's Paul Murr Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, June 8 at Blue Springs Golf Course in Acton. This will be the 14 annual event with all proceeds going to the Acton Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society. The tournament is held in memory of Paul Murr, a founding member of the event who, ironically, lost his own life to cancer. Over $26,000 was raised last year and since its inception in 1985 over $225,000 has been raised for this most worthy cause. The 1998 format has been modified to shorten the play- ing time and also encourage more casual participation with both morning and afternoon tee off times available. The tournament can accommodate 264 participants on the Turtle Lake course and normally sells out quickly. There may also be room for a few groups to play 9 holes on the par 3 Trillium course. If you are interested in participat- ing or sponsoring, please call John Hoare at 853-0901 or \ 853-0145. Everyone is welcome. = Doug M ad 0-4 Monday - Friday 9 - 9 Saturday 9 - 6 + Sunday Closed 853-2220 By FRANCES NIBLOCK The New Tanner Chad Farlow's overtime goal against Brampton clinched the OHMA Tri- / County championship for the Acton Galvcast Midget Sa- bres.
