If you treat peo- ple the way you want to be treated, then people will re- turn the treatment. Life is a cycle and the things you put into your life are the things you will get out of life. If you put the things value most in, then you will get the things that are most important to you out. If you are honest in life, then in the long run honesty will come to you. In life, if you treat every- one like friends, then friend- ship will overtake you. Val- ues are continued through a large cycle; if you give your values to the a you will get the same values in return. If you value honesty in your life and relationships and you offer honesty, then honesty will be returned to you. In my life honesty is a great quality and it is always returned by those who also value it. The relationship be- tween my friends and I in- volves a great deal of honesty. I-show that I am honest and they return their honesty by doing things like telling me the truth about things like fashion, friends, school work and other activities. When my best friend Tara and I go shopping, we try on a large variety of outfits. When something is tried on that does not look good we notify each other and honesty is shown. There is a cycle that is made between us and as long as we both value the same thing, honesty, the cy- cle is continued. Trust is a large part of life and is one of the key ideas in my relationship with my par- ents. I show that I am trust- worthy and they trust me with driving the car, going rere e eres eee: Sees £ a The Deckman All decks stripped & refinished to new, latest technology, all wood, surfaces restored to new, finest quality workmanship 905) 455-4624 : -_ 'i INNERS: Craig Lockwood front), Andrea MacLean and Jeanie Keck (middle), out late, riding with others and enjoying myself. For ex- ample, my mom used to stay awake at night to make sure I came home at a decent Hour and in a reasonable condi- tion. I honoured this and al- ways came home respectable, showing that I was trustwor- thy. Now she no longer stays up and waits. Instead she trusts that I will come home in a proper condition. This shows that I have a delicate cycle of trust between my parents and myself. I show that I am trustworthy and they trust me in return. You are at a great advan- tage in life if you treat every- body as if they are your friends. If you include eve- ryone in your life, and ex- clude nobody, you will be at a greater advantage because you will have more friends than enemies. For example, if you include all your friends in your plans instead of pick- ing and choosing a few, when you want to do a fun activity your friends will include you. If you show true friendship, your friends will return this friendship and you will have many relationships that are advantages rather than dis- advantages. Friendship is a very im- portant value in life and if it is practised, the result in the end is positive. Values are what make up how we act and what we do in life. These values are cy- cled throughout everyday ac- tions and help to mould us into what we are and show us where we are going. These values I have mentioned - honesty, trust, and friendship -- are very important in my life. They have benefited me throughout my life and will forever more benefit me in the choices I make and who I will become. SSeS es
