When plug replacement time finally arrives, it's too late. The body of the spark plug has both corroded and become too thin to remove or it has rusted to the cylinder head. Both cases result in the plug breaking off in the cylinder head. Early replacement would cost about $9 each for plugs and between $70-100 in labour. A seized or broken spark plug would require cylinder head removal and machine shop service, which could cost upwards of $800.
