Bannockburn W.I. visit Frankland Gardens By EDITH MEDLAND Special Category = 1st -- Eagiton Horse and Cart. The ladies of the Bannockburn Womens' Institute met at the home of Young-sil Frankland for this June meeting. We all marvelled at the beautiful gardens at her home, including roses, trees, shrubs and many different varieties of flowers. Members travelled to the Hobby Horse where the owner, Gail Spence, spent an hour showing us all the different way of quilting today and many more sewing crafts. I'm sure that Parade judges this year were Nancy Beattie, Joanne Blomberg and Pat McLean. The dance was another big success and thanks also go to Jan Osborne and all who worked with Jan organ- izing the event. Marla Reid says she missed the day very much and will be back in har- ness next year. Citizens' Band and enjoy the refreshments, will start some of us beginning projects of our own. Gail teaches many different classes at her place to show people these crafts.
