Mitchell Brake hit a soaring pop fly into cen- tre field and Frank Goulding smacked one into centre as well. Tommy Perron showed great hustle, sliding into first. Rainbow's Jonathan Porty was quick and sure behind the plate while teammate Brandan Lockyer made a great catch in the outfield. James Begg drove the ball into centre field. kk Candace Banks had an amazing hit into right field for Acton Community and Support Services in a game last Monday night against Soccer the KFC Mighty Chickens. Aubrey Adler and Nathan Prete were great behind the plate for Acton. Bas. Payne played well behind the plate for KFC and Clayton Black showed great base running skills. Emily Butler snagged two grounders -- both while sitting in the infield dirt. GRASSHOPPER Steven Wolstenholme had a home run, a single, a dou- ble and two RBI as Galvcast met A&S Engraving last Wednesday at Sir Donald Mann. John Jeffery had two doubles and a triple while Devin Gaudet had a double and two singles and Nicole Spurrell had a triple, two sin- gles and four RBI. Both Brandon Bennett and Jennifer Garvie swatted hom- ers for A&S while Bradley Kri had a triple and a single and Ashley Uiterwyk had a triple and double. kkk Brian Larocque hit a grand slam home run as A&S met MacKenzie & Chapman in an earlier game. Shane Carr had a home run and a triple while Megan Kirton made some great moves in the field. Both Nathan Bennett and Mat- thew Howe were hot at the plate for MacKenzie and Rachael Amirault showed excellent fielding skills. kkk Nathan Bennett had a great game at bat and at first base as MacKenzie & Chapman played IGA last Saturday. Matthew Mickol- win showed great hustle on the bases and Jamie Camp- bell showed excellent field- ing skills. Dylan Jubinville went two-for-two at bat for IGA. Kyla Reid played a great game and Travis Paul made good defensive moves. ATOM Renee Strickland had a home run and two RBI as the Atom Girls team defeated Ponsonsby 8-6 at Robert Lit- tle last Thursday. Lauren McIntyre had a solid hit down the first base line for a single and made a great catch and quick throw to second. Ashley Burke had a double, a single and a RBI. Opening pitcher Lesley Clark struck out five batters and Meagan Masini struck out six. Buchanan scores lone goal for A&S GIRLS - Under-9 Great goaltending from Courtney Moddle, Jennifer Essiembre and Jessica Dunn wasn't enough as Hey! Culligan Man defeated Halton Credit Union 3-1 last Wednesday. Dunn scored Culligan's goal while teammates Rebecca Howe, Fiona Peever and April Clemmens put in strong de- fensive efforts. Offensively, both Alexandra Saunders and Trisha Bingeman played strong games. kkk Jug City and Personal Secretarial Services battled to a 1-1 tie at MSB last Wednes- day.
