Following re- peated mis-use and several arson fires the Region closed its Third Line recycling lo- cation which was designed to be used by rural residents who don't have a curb-side blue box program. At Tuesday's general committee meeting Acton Councillor Rick Bonnette re- ported that talks are on-go- ing with Regional waste management staff to try to find another location for the recycling bins, known as Ig- loos. "Maybe we can find a more visible site to keep some knucklehead from set- ting fire to them," Bonnette said, adding he will meet again next week with Halton staff. Rural residents can take their recyclables to the Tra- falgar Road works yard, to the Hornby Igloos or to the Regional landfill on High- way 25 in Milton. Staff re- port a 30 per cent increase in the amount of recyclables dropped off at the Trafalgar location after the Igloos were" removed from Acton last month. @ Lecion News BRANCH No. 197 By MIKE MANUEL Should your office be "noking for a place to hold their Christmas Party this year, we have the facilities.
