Additionally, they would have to agree to hu- manely trap all the cats and have them vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and also ear tattooed for identification purposes. The group would also have to get the people living around the feral colony to agree to the project. Finally, I would like to point out that the humane society advises people that cats should be kept as indoor pets. It's a very dangerous world for cats. If you must let your cat outside, then it should be confined somehow. There are many things that can cause this. Carbon deposits occur in all engines. This is a neutral byproduct of burning fuel and very small amounts of oil. The only way to verify excess amounts of carbon would be to use a bore-scope to examine the inside of the combustion chamber without taking the engine apart. This device is similar to what doctors use to look inside the body. Excessive engine pinging could be caused by carbon build-up. The carbon takes up space in the combustion chamber, raising the compression ratio. It also glows red hot and causes early detonation of the fuel. Finally, the carbon can be seen on the ends of the spark plugs. High oil consumption will cause excessive carbon build-up and with always driving short trips. Such trips do not allow the engine to get up to operating temperatures. Assuming your car is not an oil burner, which would require major repairs, the most effective way to deal with the problem is to go on the highway and go briefly at wide open throttle. Remember to watch the speed limit as carbon removal is not a legal excuse for speed- ing (been there). S Se Street names on agenda again a Dickens theme -- be used. "T'm not sure who the lit- erary councillor was back in the old Georgetown days when Keats, Byron and Continued from Page 1 Shelley got named as streets, but that's the sort of inspira- tional creativity that should be considered a little bit," Elliott said. Several councillors sug- gested that Olympic athletes, noted authors and major art- ists' names could bé used, and asked that the issue of naming streets be looked at, without delaying in subdivi- sions in the works. Acton councillor Norm Elliott asked that at least one of the suggestions from the developer for the Georget- own subdivision - he wanted | { Phone | Call Betty Ann 853-1944 Rob Reed Friday & Saturday Daren Swanson Sunday shy pre Sata Come join us for a parade brunch on Saturday!
