Nicole Dunn scored for Blooms and heads-up goaltending from Erik Jeffrey kept the game close. Under-10 Four goals from T.J. Waldie helped Super Sub- marine double Halton Credit Union 10-5. Both David Bingeman and Ben Hess scored twice and Victoria Edwards and Pierce Roats had singles. Alex Brake scored four goals for Credit Union and Melissa Friolet had a single. Neil Moon Minor Bantams on a winning streak The Acton Minor Bantam Tanners are on a five-game - winning streak, having won all of their OMHA playoff games so far. Last Tuesday Acton eliminated Fergus with a 4-2 win with goals from Shawn Prentice, Steve Atkinson, Matt Wolfer and Andrew Pembleton. Assists went to Tyler Chapman, Mike Macdonald (2), Dave Preston, Atkinson, Pembleton and Adam Mills. Acton swept that series three games straight. Acton scored early and often as they defeated Pelham 6-3 in an away game in the first game of a best-of- five series. Both MacDonald and Atkinson scored twice and Wolfer, and Adam Brouillard had Acton's other goals. Assists went to Wolfer, Macdonald, Atkinson, Preston, Chapman, Shane Drexler, and Pembleton (2). In game two on Sunday visiting Acton downed Pelham 5-1 with three goals and an assist 'om Pembleton. Wolfer had four assists and singles went to Chad Henry and MacDonald. Honourable mention goes to goalie Mark Finnie who had a shutout until the last minute of the game when Pelham scored. Peewees winning Standout goal tending by Jordan Guindon and Brendan Kernohan led the Acton Minor Peewee Tan- ners to sweep the first three games of their OMHA playoff series with Erin/ Hillsburgh. Greg Boughton and Pat Collins scored in game one that Acton took with a 2-1 score. Assists went to Michael Kuipery, Collins, and Aaron Chaisson. Acton won game two 4-3 in overtime with goals from Jesse Sparkes, Tim Pembleton and Pat Collins, who had a pair. As- sists went to Kuipery (2), Chaisson and Kurtis McArthur. Acton domi- nated game three with a 5-1 win on goals from McArthur, Colins, Pembleton, Jake Kuiken-Rogers and Boughton. Acton meets Fergus in the next round. Two major novice wins The Acton Major Novice Tanners won the first two games of their OMHA playoffs with a 2-1 win over: Hillsburgh last Wednesday and an earlier 4-0 win over Erin/Hillsburgh. Darren Pezzack earned the shutout against Erin/Hillsburgh in the first game. Anthony Kri and Jordan Kuenzig scored . two goals apiece. Daniel Kearns and Geoff Malcolm scored for Acton in game two. Assists went to Matt Angell, John Taversa and Kearns. Spencer Veness was in the net for the win. scored four goals for Blue and Torin Dopelt had a pair. Adult Ken Dagliesh booted six goals to lead Orange to a 13- 4 rout of Light Blue. Craig Fisher scored four times, Katie Tuitman had two goals and O.G. Shown had a single. Harold Donnelly scored twice for Light Blue. Christine Barry and Neil Barry had singles. Mare Vandenakker scored seven goals as Tur- quoise downed Grey 14-11. Stephen Bennett had a hat trick and Alex Brake had a pair of goals. Bryan Curry and Jake Kuenzig had singles. Assists went to David Gar- dener (2), Kuenzig, Riley McGilloway (2), Tyler McNiven, and Bennett. Acton edged Hillsburgh 5 - 4 in game two of a best-of- seven OMHA playoff series in Hillsburgh last Thursday. With just under seven min- utes on the clock Alex Brake scored, with help from David Carscadden for the win. Carscadden also had a hat trick and a second assist. Sean Terry scored a single goal. Assists went to McGilloway, Michel Pettitt, Michael McKeon and Kuenzig.
