Both are cancer survivors who know first hand how important each and ever dol- lar is to cancer research and patient programs. Davies, of rural Acton, had already had breast can- cer surgery eight years ago when a canvasser came to her door asking for a contribu- tion. "We got talking about the wonderful things the local volunteers do in Acton and I was told about the transpor- tation program," Davies said. "Next thing I knew I had tides to all my appointments. Now I go every year for a check-up and the drivers are Just fantastic because they makea scary experience a lit- tle easier," Davies said. Marie Zions is living prooe that cancer can be ten.
