A number of exciting events have been planned to continue the fundraising ef- forts for the new Agricultural Society building in Prospect Park. Watch for the travelling trailer, coming soon to your neighbourhood! Acton Fair volunteers will be towing the Victorian Playhouse, donated by Peter Zions Construction, through Acton on upcoming weekends. You can purchase a $5 ticket to win this gor- geous playhouse or make a donation to the fundraising project. The month of May is just packed with great events. The Homecraft division is holding COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND INFORMATION| A Family Resource Pro- gram provides support and information to parents and home childcare providers rais- ing children during the pre- school years. HHCSI offers a variety of Family Resource Programs including: Georgetown Parent-Child Centre, 89 Mountainview Rd. S. offers a Drop-in Program, Resource Library, Parenting Education Programs, Care- giver Resources and a parent "Warmline". Call 873-2960. Early Saturday morning on May 15 the Victorian Play- house will head down the highway to Norval to take part in Riverfest. Visit us at this exciting first time event for fly fishing demonstrations, na- ture tours, bushwhacking demonstrations and lots more. The Acton Agricultural Society will be selling tickets on our playhouse and we'll be running our pedal tractor pull and balloon darts game for children. The last weekend in May (May 28-30) a fundraising * Mixed 3-Pitch Tournament will be held in Prospect Park. to sign up, call Linda Robson at 853-1591. If you want to come and watch, the games will be running all weekend and there will be a beer tent for refreshments. Join us in Prospect Park on July 17 fora delicious Chicken Barbecue. Starting just after noon there will be a Show 'n Shine for car buffs. If you purchase a ticket, you can take part in the car rally that will head out of the park around 2 p.m. which will al- low enough time to be back for the barbecue at 5:30.
