Lakeview reunion Sunday Those who lived in the first homes in Lakeview, and their successors, held a pot- luck reunion and picnic on the lawns of Mr. and Mrs. Vic Bristow and adjoining park- land Sunday. Over 70 men, women and children enjoyed the late afternoon fun, renew- ing acquaintances and friend- ships. First people to move into the Lakeview subdivision 43 years ago were Jack and Joyce Carpenter who still live on Elizabeth Drive. Fairy Lake and the similarity to their homes in England drew them to the Acton homes after viewing houses in several other town around Toronto. Next to arrive were Stu and Nan Reed and family, who were unable to attend Sun- day's get-together. The idea was hatched by Jack Carpenter who recruited Frances Marcoux and Irma - 9-noon Coles. Invitations were hand delivered to those who met the criteria. Games were played including beach base- ball, marshmallow golf and horseshoes. a) SMe eter eee aR elf The occasion also gave formers dance students of Joyce Carpenter the opportu- nity to renew acquaintances and exchange greetings. 77 Mill St. E., Acton 853-0777 Decorative Painting Classes for Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced and Youth Art Fall Opex Howe & Registration ¢ Sept.9 & 10- 10am-9pm ¢ Sept. 11 - 10am-5pm BEGINNER CLASSES STARTING SEPT. 29 ACTON FIGURE SKATING CLUB'S REGISTRATION Sat.
