12 THE NEW TANNER THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14, 1999 j Lecion News BrancH No. 197 By Joyce Buchanan Well, what a beautiful Thanksgiving. I hope you all enjoyed it. Maybe you were able to close your cottage or whatever. When you look at this beautiful country we cer- tainly have a lot to be thank- ful for. I certainly am glad it was the country of my choice. So now why don't you plan on attending the parade and dinner on Nov. 7. We would love to see you. Vets, all you to do is go to the Branch and pick up your free ticket for dinner. Now, back to volunteers. The patio furniture is in need of a protection coating. If you can help, please call Keith Andrews at 853-1607. Then if you can help with a bar crew or form you own, Jim Glass would like to hear from you. His number is 853-3871. You can start paying your dues now and become an Early Bird. We really can't operate the Branch without your co- operation. Remember, it is your Branch. Don't forget there is a bus going to Rama on Oct. 30. Winter activities are now un- der way, so see you at the Branch. New members accepted By PEGGY HARRIS The September meeting was held with 34 members present. The 50/50 draw was won by Karen McGill.
