The Tanners could only manage 10 shots of their own. Goderich built a 3-0 lead before Jon Porty scored, as- sisted by Dylan Britton, but the Tanners could not get any closer. The Sailors "scored again early in the third, and finally with two minutes left into an empty net, while the Sailors were two players short. The loss was a team effort -- only Gavin Ragan did not have a negative plus / minus for the game. The coaches were awarded two bench mi- nor penalties, and head coach Bill Curry was ejected, as was Roger Kirkness for a hit-from-be- hind in the third. Ultimately the home team won each of the five games in the series. The Tanners had a good run to get that far, eliminat- ing Fergus and extending Goderich to the maximum number of games.
