Players who are not registered either due to incomplete information or non payment of fees will not be allowed on the ice until such time as they have completed the registration process. *The amount of the final instalment may be altered. The Tri-County League is contemplating removing the collection of Play Off Gate Fees. If Gate Fees are eliminated then the loss in Gate Fee revenue must be added on to the Registration Fee (approximately $50), A reduction in Registration Fees of up to $50 may also occur depending upon the success of summer Fund Raising efforts. The higher AMHA 2004 -- 2005 Registration Fees are due to the significantly lower than budgeted revenues from Fund Raising events for the past two years. This year, Registration Fees will cover the majority of operational expenses. Tanners left their jump in the bag Sunday morning, opening the single elimina- tion with a shocking 8-4 loss to Mt. Forest Despite swarm- ing the * Forest net early and often, the Tanners feel behind 3-2 moments into the second period and were never close thereafter, defensively soft and unable to break through Mt.Forest's lanky (and often lucky) netminder. Relegated to the consola- tion round, the Tanners marched through to the final 7-2 over St. Thomas and 4-3 over Mitchell (Birthplace of Montreal Canadien's legen- Morenz). And in the final they were flying back their quick -passing crowd pleas- ing, flowing game. Jessy KeKeon ands Liam Robertson put the game out of reach, benefiting from several man-advantaged situations. Scott Weber, a real catalyst over the tournament, un- leashed his big time shot to make it 6-0, and with sec- onds remaining defenceman Scott Hoffland finished the back end of a 2 to | with for arichly deserved first goal of the season. Joss Warre _-earned the shutout with the defence corps of Hoffland, Alex Wenzel, David Elop. David Tysoe and Taylor McNabb holding Goderich to under ten shots. Wenzel showed courage after taking a nasty hit in -- period after an ice pack. Playing in Robertson's spot enabled the slick skating de- _ fender to move top the wing and contribute a number of goals over the tourney. None was more vital that the third versus Mitchell, finishing off a great rush from Tysoe and putting Tanners ahead for good in the tooth-and-nail semi final. Joss Warren was terrific in goal and defence and for- wards blocked many shots as Mitchell desperately fight to the buzzer. Bradley Kri con- tributed immensely with his play on the boards. Brandy McCarthy made a spectacu- lar play to set up the second goal. Defensive stability was provided by Matthew Roberts, Rachel Dobbs and Davin Peck. In the Under-14 Division, the players ended the season in style, and ended champi- onship day with a pot-luck lunch. Adult indoor ended with a round robin tournament and final. The Red team won all the round-robin matches to reach the championship final against the somewhat lucky but high-energy White team. Despite the fact that a couple \of the White players should Yeally have retired many years ago, White had substitutes available and took advantage of Red's tiredness to win the final 9-4. Starring for the White team were Gil and Joe Douglas and Eric Corman. With indoor complete, the outdoor season approaches. Registration is now nearly complete, and several age groups are completely full. Under-5 has expanded from 48 players to 80 players in two years, and Under-9 has gone from 100 to 140 in the same time. Under-5 and Under-12 are completely full, with growing waiting lists, while there are a few spaces left in Under-7, Under-9, Under-16 boys and Under-18 girls. The only age groups where there is a danger of not being able to field a team are the Under-18 boys and Under-22 girls, where more people must register quickly to keep the season alive in these age groups. Registration and the wait- ing lists are being handled through Acton's Time Out Sports, (519) 853 9597. If you have any other questions about soccer in Acton, check out www.actonsoccer.org.
