The top four teams make the playoffs, so KFC should be one of them. KFC's three remaining games are on the road, though they visit Acton II on Monday, July 26 for the "bat- . tle of Acton" rematch. Our competition played tremen- dously, especially in the third inning, when they scored five runs. However, Acton won 15-11. Alec McCallum was great on third in the first inning and scored two runs. Chante Burnett was unlucky with a few foul balls that were very far, but contributed a run, and got numerous Carlisle players out. Most impor- tantly she hit the coach in the shins with a huge hit! Fortunately the coach was not injured. Andrew Galati played his position very well and made a number of great plays in the field. Michael Muir made one run and was an awesome back catcher! Connor Johnston cer- tainly is a heavy hitter; he hit the ball very far and sent two people home. Harold Kirkness contributed two runs and two doubles. Blake Goldring drove two runs and played his base very well. Damon Crumplen scored three runs and made it to third on the fourth. Fi- nally Kieran Mullin played a perfect offensive game and made it home every time he was up to bat. He also made a terrific slide at home with the bases loaded © to score a run. As you can tell by our score of 15 coach Galati pitched very well, even with the line drive to the shins. HEADS 2 victims of Kasia Sitarz's foot Acton Under 21 Girls' soc- cer team travelled to Hillsburgh last week (Tues- day) to play HEADS 2. The team edged the hosts in a shortened game by a score of 3-1. Acton opened the scoring with two fast goals struck by Kasia Sitarz. HEADS hit back with a penalty kick. Af- ter the half, Sitarz completed the hat trick with her third goal. The clouds then moved in and lightning stopped play before the game was com- pleted. Denise Cooper was strong in net with Mel Edwards and Heather Ellis shoring up the defence. Next week (Wednesday) the team hosts Caledon at Acton High School 8-1 soccer record Acton 2 (Outdoor Power Equipment) pushed their record to 8-1 with a 4-0 win over Puslinch at Acton H.S. on Tuesday, July 15 in Girls' Under 16 soccer.
