THE NEW TANNER ir Cadet Band look smart on parade.-Scott Legge photo. Hometown favourites, the Acton Citizens Band, head the Santa Claus parade. Bands, floats, cartoon characters greet Santa Prize winners for best floats St. Joseph School was again overall prize winner in Ac- ton's annual Santa Claus parade with their float of colourful cartoon characters while McKenzie Smith. Bennett also de- lighted spectators with their float full of cartoon characters which won the Best School category. Best Commercial float in the parade was judged to'be Ac- ton BIA's while Acton Kinsmen took the prize for best Service Club floats. North Halton Power and Sail were awarded the Other Cat- Se : egory prize for their float. Funny clowns in funny cars. | Judges for this year's parade were Frank Spielvogel from Mount Forest, Paul Nolan from Guelph and John McNabb and Jon Hurst from Acton. Judges were impressed by the many entries and said their task was difficult. Photos by Ted and Angela Tyler Studenst of MSB braved the rain and fog to march carry- ing the school banner. Rotarian clowns join the fun. Po - : St. Joseph School took top honours again this year for their float. This elephant roared with laughter.
