Marc Gaudet de Lestard of Limehouse, Tyler Gerrits of Nassagaweya, and Acton's Derek Rauwerda are mem- bers of the Halton Hills Gymnastics Club who per- formed admirably at the 2004 Men's Provincial Gymnastics championships. Acton's John Eddolls earned a Silver medal at the 2004 World Lifesaving championships, and JD Hartnagle, Dustin Roskam and Nick Glover are mem- bers of the Georgetown Eagles Bantam baseball team that captured the 2004 On- tario Baseball Association Silver medal. _Seven members of the Halton Hills Gymnastics Club were honoured for their medal showings at the pro- vincial _ championships, including Acton's Derek Rauwerda who led the team with four medals, finishing third all-round. He earned Gold on the high bar, Silver on the vault and Bronze on the parallel bars in the under- 13 division. He represented Team Ontario at the 2004 Eastern Canadian championships, placing sec- ond over-all. Marc Gaudet de Lestard earned Gold on the pommel horse in the 11-12-year-old boys division, and team mate Tyler Gerrits earned Gold on the vault in the Level one di- vision. . Three Acton teens. - Nick Glover, JD Hartnagle and Dustin Roskam, play for the Georgetown Eagles Bantam baseball team, the 2004 On- tario Baseball Association Silver medallists. In tournament play, the Ea- gles were Gold medallists at a Kincardine Bantam tourna- ment and Silver medallists at an Owen Sound tournament. The team earned a spot in the 2004 Ontario Baseball championships and earned a silver medal in a 4-3 last in- ning loss. Acton's John Eddolls, cur- rently a member of the Town's lifesaving staff, has had a stellar career in lifesaving and is a five-year member, and captain, of the Canadian Lifesaving team. Eddolls earned a silver medal in emergency response at the 2004 World Lifesaving championships in Italy. The other municipal award recipients include the Ontario Baseball Association Silver medal winning Georgetown Eagles Rookie ball team, the Georgetown Seniors Carpet Bowling team, District 21, that captured the Gold medal at the 2004 Actifest Provin- cial Seniors Games, JJ Edwards, a member of the Scarborough Spirit Fastball team that was the 2003 and 2004 Canadian Fastpitch Gold Medal champions, Mary Anne Lapointe, the 2004 Canadian Amateur Golfer of the Year and the 2004 Women's World Ama- teur champion, and Shawn Hill, a member of the Cana- dian Olympic baseball team that competed at the 2004 Summer Games in Athens, Gree ee Li Glover and Mare Gaudet de Lestard were among the ath- letes honoured by the Town at a municipal awards ceremony on Monday at the Civic Centre.
