The certificates were award- ed for superior performances in their respective programs during a recent belt test. "They both have well deserved reputations for enthusiasm and hard work. Kaitlyn's mother reports that she displays much more initiative at home since she began training with us," says Head Instructor D.R. macGregor. "Thanks to Classic Karate I've become more focused, fit and energetic. Who would have thought that at 38 years old, I'd be aiming for my Black Belt!" said Ms. Hoskin. Toronto man dies in car/truck crash Acar/truck collision on Regional Rd. 25 (formerly 25 Hwy.) on Wednesday, January 12 at about 12:10 p.m. resulted in the death of a Toronto man driving north on 25, just north of St. Helena Rd. in Halton Hills and south of Speyside. Halton Police said the victim was operating a 1999 Saab and lost control while attempting to pass other vehicles. He veered into the southbound lanewhere he collided with a southbound tractor trailer. Death was instantaneous. The truck driver, a 41-year-old Milton man, was not in- jured. The Halton Regional Traffic Bureau was called in and closed 25 between 10 and 15 Side Roads for 5 % hours while an investigation was conducted.
