First they had to make stepping stones using items nature had provided. Poor Margaret managed to slip, even with all their help and ended up standing in the water. (The second time this spring.) June has been designated as Senior's month so keep your eyes open for the special event planned to celebrate the 10" anniversary of the Acton and Georgetown's Seniors .Centres. We are having a joint event on June 14 at the Gellert Centre in Georgetown sponsored by the town and the two Centres. All the Seniors in Halton Hills are welcome, so please visit the Gellert Centre on that day and see what we have to offer you. We will also have our own special day at the Acton Seniors Centre on June 25. As with all these events we are looking for volunteers. If you are able to spare a few hours on June 14 between 10a.m. and 4p.m. please take time to write your name on the clip board at the front desk. Now the warmer weather is here people are thinking of traveling a little more, and one interesting trip that should appeal to people who enjoy the Casinos, is a trip to Soaring Eagles on June 12- 14. It is a three day trip with two nights accommodation at Soaring Eagles Casino and Resort. I understand it is a spectacular spot. You can also take an optional shopping trip to Bronner's in Frankenmuth, and you will be stopping on the way home at the Point Edward Casino. The cost is $390 per person (twin) and includes two full breakfast buffets and two dinner buffets plus bonus incentives at both casinos. The next trip to Rama is May 25.
