A 35-year-old Cambridge woman faces numerous charg- es after a Wellington OPP officer stopped her regarding a speeding violation on Highway 6 (Hanlon Expressway) near Clair Rd. in Guelph on Saturday, July 23 at 4a.m. Police said the officer observed the butt of a firearm sticking out of the rear of the driver seat of the 1994 Ford Windstar. The driver was uncooperative and kept reaching into her pants, police said, so she was taken into custody. Asearch of the suspect and vehicle resulted in seizure of a quantity of crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, jewellery, a 38-calibre pistol, two replica handguns and a Tazer stun gun. Erika M. Fratilla, 35, of Cambridge, faces charges of unauthorized possession of a weapon, occupant of a mo- tor vehicle possess firearm, carry a concealed weapon, obstructing a peace officer, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of property ob- tained by crime. Impaired Driving An officer from the OPP responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 26, south of Wellington Road 18, in West Garafraxa Township on Satur- day, July 23 at 8:04p.m. The collision occurred when a 1992 GMC Tracker lost control and entered the ditch. Police said the driver had fled the scene. He was located on Wellington Road 18. Police said he had been drinking. A 27-year-old man from Mississauga was arrested and faces charges of impaired driving, and driving with more than 80 mgs. The 610" centre, a graduate of John F. Ross Collegiate in Guelph, will play in the NCAA Divi- sion | men's basketball for EMU. He's the only Canadian listed on the team roster where most players are from Michigan. Kyle is also one of the tallest players on the team at 6°10" sharing that height with centre Chris Knaub. Castle' s Corporation presented a cheque for $8007.88 to Marty Durksen, chair of the Rockwood Build Construc- tion Committee for Habitat for Humanity, on Thursday, July 21. The Seaton Group do- development charges for water and sewage treatment for the two new homes currently being built in Rockwood. The exchange took place on the construction site on Inkerman St., Rockwood. Construction of the two semi-detached homes began in June and is proceeding on schedule. Completion is slated for early September.
