Entertainment on the kid's stage includes Princess Kar- ma and Doug Barr, whose songs have been performed by Mr. Dress Up and Sha- ron, Lois and Bram. Bonnette said some down- town merchants have been generous in donating gift certificates and products to award as prizes, including Godfather's Pizza, Blue Springs Spa and Salon, Sobeys and the Town. Organizers have been told to expect as many as 100 classic car owners who will be preening and polishing their rides for a car show that will be angle parked all along Willow Street. Like a well-oiled ma- chine, most of the prep work for the festival is done -- the entertainment, port-a-potties, chairs, picnic tables, police and vendors are booked. Now, the committee of roughly a dozen volunteers is sweating the small stuff -- do we have a pipe to for the opening ceremony, is the advertising booked, when can we mark the vendors' areas on the street, where are last year's T-shirts and can we get more helpers?
