Meeting tonight on Cultural Centre celebration This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Halton Hills Cultural Centre and that calls for a celebration! The Town of Halton Hills' Recreation and Parks Department is looking for arts and theatre enthusiasts interested in helping to plan a celebration for October 2006. The first planning meeting is on tonight (Wednesday, January 18) starting at 7 p.m. at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre in the Gallery, 9 Church Street in downtown Georgetown. Information nights for French immersion The Halton District School Board is hosting several information evenings to share information about its Immersion French programs. In these bilingual programs, elementary students attend one of the French Centres in Grade 1 or Grade 7, where they receive half their instruction in English and the other half in French. Registration forms for the Immersion French program are available at any Halton District School Board school, including the French Centres at the schools listed below.
