Public invited to help celebrate 30th anniversary of Meals on Wheels Halton Hills Community Support and Information invites volunteers, past and present clients, community members and agencies to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Meals on Wheels, Georgetown, in the Gallery at the Cultural Centre on Tuesday, February 21, 24:30 p.m. Come and join us as we celebrate this milestone in our community. HHCSI Meals on Wheels program offers a variety of meals to seniors and disabled adults who, for any reason, are unable to manage food preparation. Meals are delivered to the client's door. Hot lunch meals or sandwich meals are available Monday through Friday. Meals can be geared towards individual dietary needs, likes and dislikes. Champions for Youth Gala Tickets are now available in both the HHCSI Georgetown and Acton offices for our upcoming dinner, dance and silent auction on Saturday, March 4. Proceeds from this event will go to Open Door Youth Centre in Georgetown and Off The Wall Youth Centre in Acton. Tickets are $75 per person, which includes a full night of entertainment at the North Halton Golf Club. We will start the evening with cocktails at 6 p.m. While viewing the silent auction items, you will be entertained with the classical guitar playing of Riverbend. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., and your hosts for the evening will be emcees Josey Bonnette and Bryan Lewis. Dance the rest of the night away to the `50s, `60s and `70s music of Rolly Rocker and the Hemi Heads. Youth Sports Night All junior youth are invited to participate in our Junior Sports Night on Wednesday, February 15. We will be meeting at Off The Wall Youth Centre in Acton, and then walking as a group to Roberts Little School at 5 p.m. to play some organized sports... and have some free time too. Sports Night ends at 7 p.m. and the cost is $2 per youth. So gather all your friends, and let's play ball! Letter Carriers Alert This is a free service, which provides a routine check to seniors living in their own homes by the Halton Hills letter carriers. If mail starts to pile up in the mailbox, a designated contact person will be alerted to be sure that the senior is okay.
