Legion Ladies hold elections tomorrow ANN FELKER Georgetown Legion Ladies Auxiliary Georgetown Legion Ladies Auxiliary president Elizabeth McNeilly presented Ms. Margaret Felyce with a $500 cheque, and Branch president Wade Bond matched the Ladies' donation with a cheque from the branch for the same amount. Ms. Felyce is from the Halton Hills Library's Talking Books for the Blind, which is one of the busiest departments in the library. It is used not only by people who are vision impaired, but, by others heading out on long driving trips. There will be a Ladies Auxiliary Convention at Branch 609 Bramalea on Sunday, April 30. Colour Party practice and Sports Officers' meeting begin at 12 noon, a light lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. and the meeting will start at 1 p.m. sharp. Uniforms should be worn if you have one, but are not mandatory. One team from Georgetown went to Welland to participate in District Darts, but alas, will not go on to Provincials. I understand a good time was had by all. A cheery `hello' to all our shut-insjust to let you know we are thinking of you. At our next general meeting, tomorrow (Thursday, April 20), Zone Commander Ethel Eastwood and her team will attend to do our elections. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and the elections will take place immediately after. This is your auxiliary, so please come out and vote. See you there.
