Bruins win three at tournament The Bernia of Canada Bruins from the Georgetown Minor Hockey Association's novice house league won all three of their games at the fifthannual Maple Lodge Farms OMHA Hockey Festival tournament in Whitby held earlier this month. ATHLETES of the Week CHRIST THE KING ACTON GEORGETOWN DISTRICT DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL Ryan Burns Dan Kearns Devon Rattie The Christ the King athletes of the week are Ryan Burns and Andrea Legere. Burns, a halfback on the senior football team, returned a punt 90 yards for a touchdown in the Jaguars' 21-7 win over Georgetown. He also played a strong defensive game, recovering a fumble in the victory. Legere, a member of the junior girls cross-country team finished 36th in a field of 200 runners at the Chicopee meet. The Georgetown athletes of the week Taylor McCabe and Devin Rattie. McCabe, a point guard on the junior girls basketball team was selected for her outstanding defensive play and leadership in the Rebels' victory over Milton District. Devin Rattie, who plays power on the junior boys volleyball team, was chosen for his strong offensive and defensive play in the team's win over Bishop Reding. The Acton athletes of the week are Dan Kearns and Erica Mills. Kearns, who plays linebacker on the Georgetown senior football team, returned a block punt for a touchdown and turned in a strong defensive game in the team's victory over Aldershot. Mills, who plays guard, led the Bearcats' senior girls basketball team with seven points and showed great leadership on the court in the team's game against Bishop Reding.
