Three incumbents declare intention to run in election Incumbents Jane Fogal, Jon Hurst and Mike O'Leary have all registered to run for re-election in the 2006 municipal elections on November 13. Fogal will seek a second term as the Wards 3 and 4 Regional Councillor. Fogal, a resident of 22 Sideroad, was first elected in 1997 as Ward 3 local councillor. Acton Councillors Jon Hurst and Mike O'Leary also filed for the two Ward 1 council seats. Both were first elected last term. Issues examined include: · What kind of role will agriculture play in Halton? · How can we protect our Natural Heritage System? · What would intensification of our communities look like? · How and when should we expand our urban boundaries? The meeting begins with an open house at 6:30 p.m., with a presentation beginning at 7 p.m., followed by a question and answer session and opportunity for feedback.
