Mayor outlines Town's financial concerns to finance minister's representative LISA TALLYN Staff Writer Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette took the opportunity recently to highlight some issues of local importance to a representative from Finance Minister Jim Flaherty's office. Bonnette was impressed that Susan McGovern, director of regional affairs with the federal finance minister's office, visited, and wanted to hear what issues are important to the community. He believes it's the first time anyone from the finance minister's office has made an effort to meet the town's mayor. "I would like to applaud the finance minister for taking this initiative," said Bonnette. Flaherty said McGovern's visit with the mayor was on his behalf because of his commitments in Ottawa.
