Legion Ladies aid Branch 120 ANN FELKER Georgetown Legion Ladies Auxiliary Hope everyone is enjoying the summer, and managed to get through the very hot weather we had a few weeks ago. Ladies Appreciation Night was held the last week in June and President Wade Bond and the gentlemen of the branch treated the ladies to a delicious turkey dinner with strawberry shortcake for dessert. Thank you for the evening. A generous donation was presented to Comrade President Wade Bond by our past president Elizabeth McNeilly on behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary. President Bond acknowledged all the hours of hard work the Ladies put in for the branch and thanked the Ladies for the donation. The Auxiliary's 78th Birthday Supper, Honours and Awards is Saturday, Sept. 16. Refreshments at 6:30 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. This is a popular event, so get your tickets early from any member of the auxiliary executive. The first sports event is on Sept. 23 in Erin. We will be playing euchre, two person teams. Please call your sports officer, Marion Carney, at 905-702-0066 if you have a partner and wish to play.
