Woman facing two charges after store clerk assaulted A woman is facing charges after an incident at Lakeview Variety on Main St. N. in Acton last Wednesday evening. Police report the female owner of the store declined to sell cigarettes to two women who did not have identification. One of the women became upset, demanded the cigarettes, and when she was still refused she pushed items off the counter, breaking some bottles, then left the store. The owner followed her outside and while attempting to get the licence plate number from the vehicle in which the woman was about to leave, the owner was hit and pushed. She suffered only scratches, and called police. As a result of investigation Vekisha Drummond, 30, of Erin Town Line was charged with mischief and assault. She is to appear in Milton court Oct. 27. ··· Four alloy wheels and rims valued at $1,630 were taken from a 2006 Honda van parked at Georgetown Honda on Guelph St. sometime late Thursday or early Friday.
