Celebrate fall and the great local outdoors this Sunday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Falling Leaves Festival in Willow Park Ecology Centre, Norval. This event is back by popular demand and will conclude the 2006 summer/fall community event series. The day will host a chance to: · experience the beautiful nature colors along this stretch of the Credit River before winter, · join in a variety of fun activities such as educational Habitat Preservation and kids-oriented Hands-on Gardening, · be led byvolunteers through handicraft projects and pumpkin carving-- just in time for Halloween. · help put the park to bed for the winter Bring a litter-less lunch and your camera. The event is open to the public, but please register at 905-702-9055 or wpec@sympatico.ca for better planning. Willow Park operates through grants and donations and is run by dedicated volunteers. Please donate generously to ensure that it continues to serve the community as a unique recreation park in Halton Hills.
